Professor André Leblanc Visits French Center of Excellence to discuss Madame de Staël

The French Center of Excellence was pleased to host visiting Professor André Leblanc to discuss his current research on a project entitled Modernity of Madame de Staël and the Coppet Group. Professor Leblanc's talk centered on themes of French literature, social progress, conscience, and what he termed "perfectibility". Thanks to Professor Leblanc for his time and to our students, faculty, staff, and community members for participating!
