French Center of Excellence Talk: #Ob/GynViolence: From French Studies to Narrative Medicine

Loic Bourdeau lecture

The French Center of Excellence and Department of French and Italian hosted Dr. Loïc Bourdeau on April 3 to discuss his research in narrative medicine. Dr. Bourdeau's talk, entitled #Ob/GynViolence: From French Studies to Narrative Medicine, was an examination of the intersection of literature, narrative medicine, and healthcare practices in addressing obstetric and gynecological violence. By bridging the humanities and medical education, this presentation proposed narrative medicine as a transformative tool to challenge systemic inequalities and enhance care for marginalized groups, particularly women.
